Este artículo pretende analizar el contexto familiar en el que emergió su figura y que le llevó hasta los Estados Unidos. Con este fin, partimos del estudio de los orígenes sociales de su familia hasta llegar al análisis de sus influencias y relaciones en América.

  Diego María de Gardoqui played an important role in the history of the United States. In this article, we aim at analyzing his family context and the route he followed to reach the American northern coast. To this end, we ind the source of our work in the social origins of his family to inish with the analysis of his inluence and connections in the United States of America.
