This paper is based on the teaching experience gained in English Applied Linguistics. Given that the curriculum follows the communicative approach, the teaching of this course is done in English. As, at this level, the students are not proficient in English, there is a need to produce new didactic materials, both audio-visual and interactive, not only to improve the quality of the learning process but also to motivate the students. As the credits of this course are both theoretical and practical, the technology used will be diverse. For the theory, we can have Power Point presentations, and also hypertext links with a linguistic glossary. In so far as the practical side is concerned, an English web site urges the students to make use of the new technological resources, as databases and corpora related to the main Applied Linguistics domains: Psycholinguistics, English for Special Purposes and Sociolinguistics. The teaching process neither starts nor ends in the classroom and the use of new technologies helps students to assume this methodology.
