  • When it comes to textbooks, bad production drives out the good, to the detriment of students. Another potentially disastrous extension of Gresham's law involves virtual laboratories. There is a real possibility that many institutions will look at the costs of real laboratories and opt for much less expensive, computer-simulated alternatives. This would be a bad thing.
