Resumen
The current research work under the title of �\SMS language: a trendy teen language in the 21st century. has got as its main objective the fact of showing the real influence and the force with which SMS is entering phone communication language and how it is dealing with Spanish language in Sucre. This, among teenagers at school age. SMS language is generating a real revolution within the linguistics area of Spanish. Thus, this situation will soon ocassionate a radical change in the literacy processes of youth and adolescence of the 21 st. century.
The research work is characterized for being conceived into two parts. The first, through a deep description of theoretical aspects which guide and support the main topic and thus, the research process from its conception until its interpretation. A second part, that describes the new language features through the production of explicit samples of the SMS language in Sucre.
The SMS language study among teenagers in Sucre will be the clear starting point from which research obtained results might be analized and interpreted. Later, these results, its advantages or disadvantages will help to take decisions and position for certain rules that impede the new tendency to obstaculize or interfere educational processes within secondary school.
Pecularities of the new language tendency are described in this project. Also, its influence upon oral or written forms and their development in Spanish language. In most cases symplifying it according to grupal or personnal criteria or in many, deforming tha language in its syntaxis, ortography and vocabulary.
