Resumen de Perceptions of students and teachers of a course of management regarding the distance education: A study in a brazilian private institution

  O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar percepções de discentes e docentes do curso de graduação em Administração de uma instituição particular brasileira, relativas à educação à distância (EaD). Após refletir sobre educação à distância, plataforma moodle, e competências profissionais e docentes, realizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória, descritiva e qualitativa nos moldes de um estudo de caso. A instituição e os sujeitos (seis professores e 12 alunos) foram escolhidos pelo critério de acessibilidade. Os dados das entrevistas (roteiro semiestruturado) foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo. Nas atividades de EaD, foram apontadas limitações nas relações, desfavorecimento do trabalho em equipe, ambiente didático-pedagógico confuso, observando-se significativa resistência por parte dos sujeitos, principalmente em função da falta de tempo e de dificuldades de adaptação. Conhecimentos de informática e habilidades em utilizar o moodle foram apontados como competências ideais dos envolvidos. Diante dos achados e das limitações do estudo, traçou-se uma agenda para pesquisas futuras.

  The objective of this study was to analyze the perceptions of students and teachers of the undergraduate course in Management of brazilian private institution, about distance education (DE). The theoretical approached distance education, moodle platform, professional and teaching competences. Regarding the methodology, the research was characterized as an exploratory descriptive and qualitative case study. The institution and the subjects (six teachers and 12 students) were chosen by the accessibility criterion. The data collected through interviews (semistructured script) was submitted to content analysis. In the activities of DE, limitations in the relations were pointed out, disadvantages of teamwork, teaching-learning environment confusing, observing significant resistance from the subject, mainly due to lack of time and adjustment difficulties. Computer knowledge and skills in using moodle were identified as the ideal competences involved. Given the findings and limitations of the study, an agenda for future research were outlined.
