  • With the purpose of promote new forms of production and application of knowledge, currently the Mexican government has implemented policies to promote the creation and strengthening academic bodies in public institutions of higher education. The Technological University of the Mixteca (UTM) has assumed this commitment by through the lines of research of the academic bodies of the institutes that make up the organizational structure and which as a whole generate knowledge that is applied and should be administered. For this purpose, it is necessary to have strategies and mechanisms for proper management of the knowledge generated in the educational institution, viewed as an organization, whose main asset rests in the potential of their intellectual capital. This paper proposes a strategy based on the technology of information and communication for knowledge management emanating from the academic bodies of the various institutes that make up the organizational structure of the UTM.
