    • Based on the compilation of a corpus of written compositions by students of English as a Foreign Language from the Faculty of Education, Pontifical University, Salamanca, we perform an analysis and a diagnosis of students' deviance with the aim of being of any help to improve the learning-teaching process in a L2.

      The data and examples used in this work have been obtained from a corpus of 200 written texts by students in their 2nd and 3rd year of their studies to become a teacher of English.

      We are totally convinced that it is necessary to keep on working on the Error analysis trying to identify, describe, classify and diagnose the errors committed by students of a L2.
