  • In the field of automatic translation, reference to the determination is an important subject of discussion and one in which we are particularly interested.

    Based on the research of Maurice Gross for the French language, we have carried out a comparative study of the use of determiners in French and Spanish relating to frozen expressions, at a syntactico-semantic level. In this paper, first, we shall present some general notions of fixed forms and determination. Then, using a contrastive approach, we shall examine the determination concerning compound adverbs and compound verbs.
