    El autor enfoca una investigación sobre las tareas actuales de la filosofía, según los últimos pensamientos y escritos del prestigioso epistemólogo Karl R. Popper. La filosofía aparece entonces como una tarea de esclarecimiento sobre problemas reales; tarea que debería cumplirse con un lenguaje claro y sencillo, y con una metodología crítica. La crítica emerge como una exigencia actual fundamental, si se parte del supuesto que todo ser humano es falible.

    Otra tarea de la filosofía consiste en no separarse de las ciencias; porque una ciencia sin filosofía es ciega y una filosofía sin ciencia es infecunda socialmente. Esto genera otras tareas para la filosofía, como la de esclarecer el concepto de objetividad, de tolerancia intelectual, de responsabilidad y la lucha por la defensa de los derechos fundamentales del ser humano, en un mundo que, con diversos motivos, trata de justificar las modas intelectuales y los intereses vigentes. Otra tarea no despreciable de la filosofía consiste en seguir construyendo conocimientos y aprendiendo de nuestros errores. Finalmente el autor somete a crítica el criticismo de Popper.

    In this research the author focuses on the current tasks of philosophy, as expressed in the last thoughts and papers of the prestigious epistemologist Karl Popper. Thus, philospphy appears as a task for the elucidation of real problems; a task that should be fulfilled in a clear and simple language, and with a critical methodology. If the assumption that the human being is fallible, is the starting point, a critical approach appears as a fundamental current demand.

    Another task of philospphy is to avoid the separation from sciences; because a science is socially sterile. This generates other tasks for philosophy, such as the elucidation of the concepts of objectivity, intellectual tolerance, responsability, and the fight for the defense of the fundamental rights of the human being, in a world that for different reasons tries to justify intellectual fashions and interests in vogue. Another important task of philospphy is to continue building knowledge and learning from our errors. Finally the author criticizes Popper's criticism.
