    Revisió històrica i crítica de la teoria de la funció poètica de Roman Jakobson. L’estudidefensa que la literaritatno suposa un menyscabament de la referència, perquè l’expressió poèti-ca no sols no es veu mancada de la capacitat de representació que és connatural al signe lingüís-tic, sinó que la duu a terme en crear, lingüísticament, una realitat imaginària a la qual els mots esreferirien de forma simultània a la seva creació. Per tant, la immanència de la funció poèticaesdevindria, en suma, un passatge envers la ficcionalitat en tant que plausible creació d’infinitesrealitats de referència.

    This article is a historical and critical review of Roman Jakobson’s theory of thepoetic function, which has often been interpreted as denying the referential function. It arguesthat literaritydoes not undermine reference, since poetic expression, far from lacking the capa-city of representation which is connatural to the linguistic sign, carries indeed such capacity toan optimum, by dint of its linguistically creating an imaginary reality to which words refer simul-taneously to that creation. Therefore, the immanence of the poetic function constitutes a passageinto fictionality as the plausible creation of infinite reference realities.
