    El artículo estudia los motivos, bien conocidos en la literatura de caballerías, del manuscrito encontrado y la falsa traducción, y concretamente las diferencias ideológicas y estructurales que se plantean dependiendo de que se presenten en la periferia (como lejanos o exóticos) o en el centro (cercanos o familiares). Estas diferencias se aplican a textos como Esplandián, Baldo, Claribalte, Felixmarte de Hircania o Félix Magno, entre otros.

    The article studies two well-known motifs in Chivalric Literature: the lost and found manuscript and the false translation. The article focuses specifically on the ideological and structural differences which appear depending on the presence of these motifs in the periphery (distant or exotic situations) or in the center (near or familiar ones). These differences are applied to texts like Esplandián, Baldo, Claribalte, Felixmarte de Hircania or Felix Magno, among others.
