Los siguientes renglones ofrecen una síntesis acerca de los hechos que caracterizaron el conflicto colombo � peruano, suscitado entre 1932 y 1933 tras la ocupación de Leticia, puerto colombiano sobre el río Amazonas. El artículo describe los acontecimientos iniciales, la respuesta de Colombia, la manera como se preparó para el combate, y el desarrollo de la guerra que terminó en rápida negociación. Se concluye con una breve exposición sobre el papel que jugó el conflicto en la construcción e historia del Ejército Nacional de Colombia

The following lines offer a synthesis about the facts that characterized the Colombo � Peruvian conflict (1932 and 1933) after Leticia's occupation, an important colombian port on the Amazons. The article describes the initial events, the answer of Colombia, the way like she got ready for the combat, and the development of the war that finished in quick negotiation. It is presented, equally, the real dimension of conflict, and the paper it played in the colombian history.
