Estudio de la efectividad de un programa de formación de docentes

    El aumento de la matrícula estudiantil en el nivel de Educación Media, Diversificada y Profesional, y el descenso en la escogencia de las carreras docentes como opción de ingreso a la Educación Superior, han generado un déficit de docentes. Para contribuir a solventar este déficit se creó en la UCV el Programa Cooperativo de Formación Docente, que permite a estudiantes de diferentes escuelas optar por la licenciatura en Educación, con mención en la especialidad que cursan en sus escuelas de origen. Este trabajo tiene la finalidad de estudiar la efectividad del programa. La investigación es documental y de campo, a nivel descriptivo. Los datos se obtuvieron a través de la técnica de la encuesta, aplicando cuestionarios a una muestra de egresados y a una de estudiantes regulares. Los datos correspondientes al área de satisfacción se lograron a través de escalas de estimación tipo Likert. A partir del análisis, se puede afirmar que el programa satisface la definición de efectividad que fundamenta el estudio. La investigación documental comprueba la vigencia del déficit de docentes. El análisis de la matrícula indica que el programa creció constante y establemente durante el período analizado. La mayoría de los egresados labora en el nivel educativo para el cual se destinó su formación. La satisfacción académica y laboral de los egresados, así como los niveles de satisfacción académica de los estudiantes resultaron favorables.

    The increase of student registration at high school level, and the descent in selecting educational carriers as an option to enter the university, have produced a teachers deficit. In order to contribute to solve this deficit The Cooperative Program of Educational Training was created at Universidad Central de Venezuela. This program allows the students of different departments to get a degree in Education with a specialization in the study area of their original schools. This paper has the purpose to study the effectiveness of the program. The research was conducted at a descriptive level in documental and field work stages. The data was collected through the survey technique, administering questionnaires and interviews to a sample of graduates and a sample of currently registered students. The data that measures the satisfaction of participants were collected through the Likert estimation scale. From the analysis it can be confirmed that the program satisfies the definition of effectiveness that founds the study. The documental research confirms the persistence of the teachers deficit. The registration analysis shows that the program was stable and grew constantly during the analyzed period. The majority of the graduate students work in the educational level for which they were trained. The academic and working satisfaction of the graduates as well as the levels of academic satisfaction of the registered students were positive in both samples.
