Mediante el estudio de la versión al chino de El maestro de esgrima, este artículo pretende analizar una cuestión generalmente poco tratada en traductología. Se trata de la traducción de la puntuación en lenguas tan distantes como son el español y el chino. Dicho análisis puede dar lugar a consideraciones morfosintácticas relevantes y contribuir, al mismo tiempo, al empleo de métodos de traducción contrastiva entre ambas lenguas.
Via the study of the Chinese version of El maestro de esgrima, this article aims to analyze an issue generally little dealt with in Translation Studies. This is the way in which punctuation is translated in languages as different from one another as Spanish and Chinese. Such a study should give rise to significant morphosyntactic considerations while at the same time contributing to the utilization of methods of contrastive analysis when translating these two languages.
