    Diversas circunstancias llevaron a firmar un tratado de paz entre los indios minuanes y los españoles residentes en Buenos Aires hacia 1732. Abordaremos este proceso desde una perspectiva amplia, buscando alcanzar una comprensión mayor de los sucesos y sus protagonistas. Los indios que habitaban las tierras situadas entre el oriente del río Paraná y el sur del río Ibicuy, asediaban con continuas correrías y saqueos las ciudades de Corrientes, Santa Fe y Buenos Aires. Fundamentalmente perseguimos estudiar el rol de los caciques en las tratativas previas a la firma del tratado. Observaremos el importante papel de mediadores que cumplieron algunos de estos líderes, en el marco de los conflictos interétnicos que se suscitaban. Inclusive algunos de ellos habitaban las reducciones jesuíticas, situación que introduce elementos de mayor complejidad que deben ser considerados para comprender este acuerdo de aquellos años.

    Several circumstances led to signing a peace treaty between the Minuanes Indians and the Spanish residents in Buenos Aires to 1732. We will approach this process from a broad perspective, seeking to improve our understanding of the events and protagonists. The Indians who inhabited the lands between the eastern of Parana River and southern of Ibicuy River led continuous raids and looting of the cities of Corrientes, Santa Fe, and Buenos Aires. Primarily we study the role of chiefs in talks prior to the signing of the treaty. Noting the important role of mediators who met some of these leaders, in the context of ethnic conflicts that arose. Even some of them lived in the Jesuit areas, a situation that introduces elements of greater complexity that must be considered in order to understand the agreement of those years.
