    En este texto se analiza el conjunto de edificios que conforman la Facultad de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Oporto, proyectado y construido entre 1983 y 1996, para aproximar al lector a su relación con la orientación teórico-pedagógica de la llamada y reconocida Escola do Porto. A través del estudio de la escuela como edificio y del modelo de enseñanza que allí se imparte, se verifica cómo la teoría y la práctica del proyecto arquitectónico se enseñan y se trasmiten como actividades unitarias e indivisibles, o como decía Fernando Tavora, "la reflexión y la práctica no resultaran de una sumatoria de materias, si no de un pensamiento único expresado a través del dibujo".

    This paper analyses the buildings that comprise the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Oporto, planned and designed between 1983 and 1996. Its purpose is to inform the reader of the renowned Porto School of Architecture`s relationship with its theoretical and pedagogical philosophy.

    By studying the school as a building and as a teaching model it can be seen that the theory and practice of an architectural project is Unitarian and indivisible, or, according to Fernando Tavora, "the deep thought and practice are not simply the consequence of the materials themselves. They are instead the result of a unique thought expressed through a drawing".
