    Gérard Pommier explora las vicisitudes de devenir psicoanalista y sus relaciones con el universo fantasmático que se anuda a la experiencia analítica. Propone una lectura del deseo del analista que interroga la cuestión de tal deseo y del fantasma que lo causa: el deseo del analista no es un deseo puro puesto que, como cualquier otro deseo, está articulado con el fantasma. El atravesamiento de las identificaciones sucesivas del fantasma de devenir psicoanalista revela en último término aquello a lo que el fantasma busca hacer pantalla: La Cosa freudiana, das Ding, como aquello que sella el destino del sujeto en su relación con un Otro absoluto como sede de la palabra

    Gérard Pommier explores the vicissitudes of becoming a psychoanalyst and its relationship with the fantasmatic universe involved in the analytic experience. He suggests an approach to the analyst�s desire that questions such desire and the fantasy from which it derives. The analyst�s desire is not pure because, like any other desire, it is articulated with the fantasy. The successive identifications of the fantasy of becoming a psychoanalyst pass through each other and reveal, in the end, something which the fantasy seeks to make screen of: The Freudian Thing, Das Ding, which seals the destiny of the psychoanalytic subject in his relation with an absolute Other as homeplace of word
