Una experiencia para evaluar competencias a través de Moodle

    El presente trabajo describe la experiencia que se tuvo al transformar la plataforma educativa Moodle, en una herramienta para medir el nivel de apropiación del idioma inglés entre los estudiantes del sexto semestre de educación media superior y los conocimientos generales de los educandos de nuevo ingreso del nivel superior adscritos al Instituto Politécnico Nacional, de la Ciudad de México. En total se evaluaron a 34 mil alumnos en 3 etapas. Se seleccionó Moodle por ser una plataforma de código libre, lo que permitió modificar la arquitectura de la información y obtener un reporte por escuela, turno, grupo, alumno, además de conocer el promedio más bajo y alto. Estás acciones permiten dar un paso adelante en lo que se refiere a la evaluación diagnóstica.

    This current study describes the experiences gained during the process of transforming the Moodle learning platform, a tool that will be used for measuring the levels of acquired English language among the students of who are in the sixth semester of the middle level of the post-secondary school level of and the a general knowledge of the new who are registered to study at Instituto Politécnico Nacional, in Mexico City. A total of thirty four thousand (34,000) students were evaluated at three different levels. Moodle was selected by the researcher selected because it provides a platform that gives an option with open codes and permits the student to modify the structure of the information and it allows for researchers to obtain a report according to the school, student-shift, group student, and furthermore, the tool allows the for the detection of the least and highest average scores. Such actions allow us to take the evaluation and diagnosis of knowledge a step further. It allows education systems to take the evaluation of knowledge to a higher level.
