La transferencia del conocimiento en migraciones: renovación de un vocabulario neológico

    No hay duda de que el fenómeno de la inmigración es hoy en día una de las fuentes de riqueza para el país de acogida. Con este trabajo nos proponemos acercar la realidad lingüística y cultural del fenómeno de las migraciones dentro del contexto español al traductor e intérprete, ya que se trata de un vocabulario en formación que a lo largo de los últimos años ha ido evolucionando y enriqueciéndose con una acusada actividad léxicogenética.

    Nuestro estudio nos ha permitido observar cómo este vocabulario acusa un proceso de creación léxica muy acelerado, con neologismos y términos de reciente acuñación, debido en gran medida a la evolución social del fenómeno migratorio en España.

    There is no doubt that the phenomenon of immigration is nowadays a source of wealth for the host country. This paper aims to approach the linguistic and cultural reality of the migration phenomenon in the Spanish context from the viewpoint of the translator and interpreter. It is argued that the vocabulary associated with migration is in a process of formation which has evolved and expanded rapidly over the last decade, with a heightened lexicogenetic activity.

    The study allows us to perceive the highly accelerated lexical creation process of this type of vocabulary, due to a large extent to the social evolution of the migration phenomenon in Spain. The vocabulary is characterized by an abundance of neologisms and recently coined terms.
