At a time when multicultural and multilingual societies are becoming a common scenario throughout the world, the role of interpretation in the relationship between public service providers and users is becoming increasingly important. Therefore, universities must provide a response to such new needs for training and preparing translators and interpreters, to provide a professional response to this contemporary social reality. This paper presents a training proposal for one subject, namely; public services interpretation, in line with the recommendations of the European Higher Education Area.
