  • Resumen
    • The author uses the concept of interlanguage as a theoretical model to examine the morphological and syntactic characteristics of a corpus of texts of an official nature written (in 1801-1802 and 1822, respectively) in Spanish by French-speaking Haitian authors. As regards the modality of the corpus examined, the results of the analysis seem to bear out the Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis (CAH) rather than the Identity Hypothesis (IH) in relation to the nature of the Spanish interlanguage used by these French-speaking Haitians. This is especially clear in the considerable amount of interference in the texts under study, which are also characterized, as the contrary, by an almost total absence of the phenomena of grammatical simplification and generalization.
