At present, both professors of ELE and researchers concerned with second language teaching, base their theories on the principle according to which it is impossible to learn a new language without acquiring at the same time an average intercultural communicative competence. In other words it is necessary not only to get a new linguistic code, but also to be familiar with the new culture and to know how to integrate with it. Here, first of all, we illustrate some strategies able to improve interpersonal intercultural communication and then, we analyze how three recent courses of Spanish for Italian learners deal with "culture".
