This article considers the thematic and formal links between Jorge Luis Borges and Italo Calvino, takes into account the notion of canon, and finally proposes a diachronic analysis of Calvino's reading of Jorge Luis Borges' work. Tracing his own poetic experience from the 1950's to 1980's, the Italian writer will place Borges at the center of a literary pantheon in which Calvino reserves a significant place for himself, resolving thus a complex and successful process of self-canonization = A partir de las relaciones temático-formales entre Jorge Luis Borges e Italo Calvino
