Resumen de La pesadilla en clave de narración visual: "The Masque of the Red Death" de E. A. Poe

Eusebio V. Llácer Llorca

  • In "The Masque of the Red Death" both rhythmic pattems and basically visual narrative models, though referring as well to other senses such as the ear, contribute successfully to attract attention and interest and introduce the reader to a nightmarish world, while transporting him to the very depths of his soul and his unconscious self. Poe reads and draws upon plots and styles of other contemporary gothic writers, and makes use of them in an original manner by conveying sensations, emotions and existential intuitions, devoid of moral thoughts on human mortality and eternity
