L'objectiu d'aquest article és assenyalar, en primer lloc, la relació entre els conceptes de contigüitat de V. Demonte i d'iconicitat lingüística de J. Haiman, en relació amb el predicatiu de CD, i, en segon terme, observar la possibilitat que l'atribut de subjecte també reflecteixi icònicament el seu propi significat funcional, situant-se en un lloc pròxim al nucli verbal i, per consegüent, a la seva base atributiva.

The aim of this article is firstly to indicate the link between V. Demonte's contiguity and J. Haiman's iconicity concepts concerning DO predicative and, on the other hand, to consider the possibility that the subject attribute reflects, equally, its functional meaning, by being positioned near the verbal nucleus and therefore, near its attributive bases
