ABSTRACT: This article entitled “Talking about yourself: teaching self-narrative and diversity” arises from a concern of the researchers, each in their institution, with the training of teachers, in three modalities directly related to socio-cultural diversities, whose emergencies are recent in our legislation and consequently in higher education institutions: Rural Education, Indigenous School Education and Quilombola Education. The article reports the trajectory of teachers linked to these modalities, based on the self-narratives of the protagonists of these educational experiences. The article describes the effort to systematize the academic and professional training of these indigenous, quilombola and peasant educators, seeking elements that articulate individual memory and collective memory. The systematization proposals resulted in a collection of three works that deal with Quilombola, Peasant and Indigenous teachers that, in addition to recording their trajectories, allowing the exercise of remembrance/resignification, can also be used as a historical source enabling the publicization of these processes and experiences for future studies.
