    L’objectiu d’aquest estudi és definir el perfil d’Imma Monsó com a autotraductora a partir de la novel·la La mestra i la Bèstia. D’una banda, m’interessava conèixer la seva percepció de l’AT, que presento aquí a través d’una entrevista en què l’autora parla amb molta cura de les relacions amb el TF, de les diverses fases de treball, de les pèrdues i de les compensacions; de l’altra, a partir d’alguns dels elements subratllats per ella, he pogut profunditzar les meves reflexions crítiques analitzant l’AT per establir una comparació amb la meva traducció italiana (TI) i seguir alguns aspectes, com ara el tractament de l’onomàstica, la traducció de la variació diatòpica i la visibilitat.

    The aim of this study is to define Imma Monsó’s profile as a self-translator, based on the novel La mestra i la Bèstia. On the one hand, I was interested in discovering her perception of the AT, which I present here through an interview in which the author speaks very carefully about her relationship with the TF, the various stages of work, the losses and the compensations. On the other hand, based on some of the points highlighted by Imma, I have been able to deepen my critical reflections by analysing the AT to establish a comparison with my Italian translation (TI) and by examining certain aspects, such as the treatment of onomastics, the translation of dialectal variation and visibility.
