  • Resumen
    • Teacher leadership (TL) is a process where educators work collectively with their peers, administrators, and school communities to enhance teaching practices and improve student learning outcomes. This article synthesizes key insights from the literature on TL, highlighting its dual role in supporting school improvement and fostering professional development. While the research base directly associating TL with student achievement and learning remains thin, the literature does support the importance of this concept for effective schools. Research outlines the effectiveness of teacher leaders in promoting instructional innovations while creating more satisfied teachers and more equitable schools.
