The text presents reflections on the transformations in teaching work resulting from the emergence of neoliberal logic in the university. The University as a space and time of the common, for collective public study seems to be transforming towards a corporate model where efficiency, agility and competitiveness prevail. We position ourselves in the case of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (Udelar), with the objective of analyzing institutional regulations and movements –from union and to academic– that have recently emerged as a product of the tensions that are experienced today in the University. We note that the new logics permeate the institutional organization and teaching work, which is challenged to dismiss the collective and pursue the achievement of personal and quantifiable objectives. It is then necessary to give a new turn that allows the encounter and the study in teaching work.
