  • Resumen
    • This paper describes the design process of a pedestrian and bicycle bridge in the city of Bremen, as a case study of design processes informed by digital form finding methods. Design tools and methods employed during different phases of the design process are described, with a particular focus on the integration of various form finding. The form finding methods and the design process are then compared with design methods employed for an earlier suspension bridge design by the same office. This case study shows that form finding tools of various complexity are suitable to different stages of the design process. Additionally, computational methods developed by K. Takahashi proved to be very well suited to finding a structurally sound solution for geometrically constrained suspension bridge design
