The construction industry significantly contributes to global CO2 emission and resource consumption. This study approaches this matter by developing a digital workflow to evaluate the structural and environmental performance of various slab systems, including cross- laminated timber, steel-concrete composite, reinforced concrete, and Topfloor Integral systems across varying spans. Each slab is analyzed for serviceability, structural safety, fire resistance, and vibration regulations. The workflow then compares their environmental impact through CO2 emissions, grey energy, and eco points (UBP), which quantifies the environmental damage through a life cycle assessment of resources, emissions, and waste. Case studies demonstrate that selecting the optimal slab system can reduce the environmental impacts by up to 300%, highlighting the crucial impact of material choice on the environmental impact, particularly the energy-intensive production of steel sheets. This study lays the foundation for future studies on additional slab systems, and also integrating more reused and recycled materials in the analysis
