    This text aims to investigate discourses about the infant sedentarism, in order to analyze the functioning of biopolitic strategies which construct knowledge about the sedentary children and intervene in the infant body, in a way that controls and inserts him in the range of actuation of a power that is turned to the regulation of life. For this, we start from the theorizations of Michel Foucault about the biopower and the biopolitics, as well as the discourse, the utterance and the discursive formation. From the methodological point of view, it is a descriptive-interpretative study, with a qualitative approach. The corpus of analysis is composed by three discursive materialities that circulate in digital media. The analyses denote that the discourses about the infant sedentarism that make to function biopolitic strategies, because, when they pathologize the sedentarism, they conceive the practice of physical activity as an essential condition to the insertion of the children in the discourse order of health and well-being.

    Este texto tem como objetivo investigar discursos acerca do sedentarismo infantil, visando analisar o funcionamento de estratégias biopolíticas que constroem um saber sobre a criança sedentária e intervêm sobre corpo infantil, de maneira a controlá-lo e inseri-lo no raio de atuação de um poder que se volta para a regulação da vida. Para tanto, partimos das teorizações de Michel Foucault acerca do biopoder e da biopolítica, bem como do discurso, do enunciado e da formação discursiva. Do ponto de vista metodológico, trata-se de um estudo descritivo-interpretativo, de abordagem qualitativa. O corpus de análise compõe-se de três materialidades discursivas que circularam nas mídias digitais. As análises denotam que os discursos acerca do sedentarismo infantil fazem funcionar estratégias biopolíticas, pois, ao patologizarem o sedentarismo, concebem a prática da atividade física como uma condição essencial para a inserção da criança na ordem do discurso da saúde e do bem-estar.
