    The Pedagogical Advisory Center (NAP-UFPR) has been working for three decades in the initial and ongoing education of language teachers. In this text, we present a brief history of NAP-UFPR and its outreach activities, focusing primarily on the period from 2020 to the present, during which we have coordinated the center. We aim to construct meanings about how we have understood the inseparable relationship between universities and schools, even while facing different challenges. To this end, we provide examples and interpret actions developed within the center, understanding them as practices that align with Freire’s conception of outreach actions (Freire, 1983), which means that social needs and dialogue have always been at the core of the work carried out. In this perspective, we emphasize the importance of strengthening a democratic university committed to society, in favor of a critical and high-quality education.

    O Núcleo de Assessoria Pedagógica (NAP-UFPR) atua há três décadas na formação inicial e continuada de/com professoras/es de línguas. Neste texto, fazemos um breve histórico do NAP-UFPR e de suas ações de extensão, concentrando-nos principalmente no período de 2020 até o momento atual, em que temos atuado como coordenadoras do núcleo. Buscamos construir sentidos sobre como temos entendido a relação indissociável entre universidade e escola, mesmo enfrentando diferentes desafios. Para isso, trazemos exemplos e interpretamos ações desenvolvidas no núcleo, entendendo-as como práticas que se aproximam da concepção freireana de extensão (Freire, 1983), o que significa dizer que demandas sociais e o diálogo sempre estiveram no cerne do trabalho realizado. Entendemos, nessa linha, a importância do fortalecimento de uma universidade democrática e comprometida com a sociedade, em prol de uma educação crítica e de qualidade.
