  • Resumen
    • Populism, characterized by criticism of multilateralism and established institutions, creates a significant source of political uncertainty that affects business strategies. This phenomenon is associated with institutional change, the destabilization of legal and administrative frameworks, and increased political unpredictability, generating significant challenges for businesses. The impacts encompass areas such as internationalization, innovation, and entrepreneurship, where negative effects are observed due to the uncertainty and risk associated with populism. Strategic responses such as foresight, anticipation, and absorption offer ways to mitigate these impacts to a certain extent. However, the current literature lacks sufficient empirical evidence on the effectiveness of these measures. It is concluded that additional research is needed to develop evidence-based solutions that allow companies to protect themselves against the impact of populism on the global landscape.
