  • Resumen
    • This paper analyses nursing students'academic satisfaction. Two hundred and sixty two students from six different public nursing schools completed the Academic Satisfaction Questionnaire (Questionário de Satisfagdo Académica). This questionnaire assesses the diensions of academic satisfaction: interpersonal, institutional, and graduation course. Because these schools have different curricular plans, we analyzed the relationship between the structure of the curricular plan (modular and non-modular) and the students' academic satisfaction. Results showed highest institutional satisfaction among students with a non-modular curriculum structure. No differences were found in the other two dimensions. Correlations between the three dimensions of academic satisfaction and school success w4ere not statistically significant. It is possible that the differences among schools in terms of teaching methods, evaluation strategies and lack of standardized grading system might explain the observed low correlations between students' satisfaction and academic performance.
