Da situação-limite agrotóxicos ao inédito viável agroecologia: sinalizações de caminhos para a educação do campo

    If it used to be said that the effects of climate change were “going to happen”, today the signs are “ here”. Based on the references assumed, Paulo Freire, CTS, PLACTS and references from the field of agroecology, we understand that the model of industrial agriculture, in which pesticides are central, constitutes a limiting situation that silences the untested feasibility of agroecology, considered a path that can contribute to reversing climate change, as well as mitigating effects that are already present in the Brazilian context. The research consisted of understanding the positions and practices of teachers and students on the topics of pesticides and agroecology. To the categories pesticides as a limit situation and the untested feasibility of agroecology, resulting from the bibliographical research, we associated a set of subcategories resulting from the analysis of these understandings and practices. Each of these sets signals challenges for curricular reconfigurations. Reconfigurations permeated by problematisation, by the denunciation of understandings associated with the limit situation, by the announcement of possibilities associated with the untested feasible.

    Se antes falava-se que os efeitos das mudanças climáticas “vão acontecer”, hoje os sinais “estão aí”. Pelos referenciais assumidos, Paulo Freire, CTS, PLACTS e referenciais do campo da agroecologia, compreendemos que o modelo de agricultura industrial, no qual os agrotóxicos têm centralidade, constitui situação-limite que silencia o inédito viável agroecologia, considerado caminho que pode contribuir para reverter as mudanças climáticas, assim como mitigar efeitos, já presentes, no contexto brasileiro. A pesquisa consistiu em compreender posicionamentos e práticas de professores(as) e estudantes sobre as temáticas agrotóxicos e agroecologia. Às categorias agrotóxico como situação-limite e o inédito viável agroecologia, resultantes da pesquisa bibliográfica, associamos, a cada uma delas, um conjunto de subcategorias, resultantes da análise das referidas compreensões e práticas. Cada um desses conjuntos sinaliza desafios para reconfigurações curriculares. Reconfigurações permeadas pela problematização, pela denúncia de compreensões associadas à situação-limite e pelo anúncio de possibilidades associadas ao inédito viável.
