    En lo que respecta a la incursión de la mujer en el género dramático, siempre fue evidente que ocupó un lugar inferior al de los hombres, tanto en el oficio de escribir teatrocomo en la construcción de los personajes. Esta situación fue cambiando a lo largo deltiempo. La figura femenina en escena fue adquiriendo diferentes matices, desde el prototipo ideal de la abnegada ama de casa, pasando por aquella que se revelaba contrauna sociedad patriarcal hasta llegar a la mujer independiente del siglo XXI. Laura Iglesia en Lentas pero seguras, muestra tres realidades diferentes de mujeres contemporáneas, cada una de ellas con sus propios sueños y formas de enfrentar la vida, unidaspor una amistad que las lleva a cuestionarse por el hecho de hacer de cada uno de susdías una rutina agobiante y la celeridad del paso del tiempo para revertir su situación.A través del humor, la dramaturga toca varios temas que atañen a la mujer de hoy.Ellas ya no tienen como oponente a una figura masculina (padre, marido), no debenenfrentarse a estructuras sociales o ideológicas, sino a lo rutinario de sus vidas.

    Regarding the incursion of women in the drama, it was always evident that she took aninferior place than men, both in the craft of writing theater and in the construction ofthe characters. This situation was changing over time. The female figure on stage wasacquiring different nuances, ranging from the ideal prototype of the devoted housewifeto that which has revealed against a patriarchal society, to the independent woman ofthe XXI century. Laura Iglesias in Lentas pero seguras, shows three different realitiesof contemporary women, each one with their own dreams and ways of facing life. Theyare united by a friendship that leads them to question the exhausting routine ofeveryday life and the speed of time, in order to reverse the situation. Through humor, the playwright touches various issues that affect women today. They no longer have amale figure (father, husband) as opponent, they don’t have to face social or ideologicalstructures, but they have to cope with the routine of their lives.
