    The present text aims to investigate the policies of representation of young black people in the field of visual arts and visual culture. Generating art, education and race, it aims at insurgent and counter-hegemonic narratives that can contribute to a process of teacher training and anti-racist identity. Considering the historical process of racialization and slavery inherent to the formal constitution of Brazil, what do and what do they not say to the images produced about the black population in the country? What possible imaginaries permeate the notion of black in Brazil? Thinking about contemporary artistic works, this study articulates historical questions about how the production of images takes place, crossed by the context of erasure of the young, black and peripheral population inside and outside the academy with regard to their narratives and image productions.

    O presente texto tem por objetivo investigar as politicas de representação de jovens negros no campo das artes visuais e da cultura visual. Engendrando arte, educação e raça, visa narrativas insurgentes e contra hegemônicas que possam contribuir para um processo de formação docente e identitária antirracista. Considerando o processo histórico de racialização e escravatura inerente à constituição formal do Brasil, o que dizem e o que não dizem às imagens produzidas acerca da população negra no país? Quais possíveis imaginários permeiam a noção de negro no Brasil? Pensando em fazeres artísticos contemporâneos, este estudo articula questões históricas sobre como se dá a produção de imagens atravessadas pelo contexto de apagamento da população jovem, negra e periférica dentro e fora da academia no que tange às suas narrativas e produções de imagens.
