El artivismo Lesbofeminista en Chile

    The system developed in Chile comes from a Eurocentric tradition, as a result of a colonialist process, which has been reproduced throughout history and strengthened by the military dictatorship, which adhered to the ideals of capitalism and neoliberalism, a system that has been maintained to this day through the actions of the various governments of the Concertación. This has resulted in deep inequalities and injustices that have generated an atmosphere of social discontent, which is finally expressed strongly in the so-called Social Outburst in Chile, which convened various movements and individuals to express their demands in the public and digital space, creating a new linguistic and multimodal landscape of resistance, where artists, activists and collectives act as one of their tools of expression, communication and education, political art or artivism. In this context of multiple social demands, the actions of the LGBTIQ+ community, and specifically the Lesbofeminist movement that bursts with a call for attention to the violence and hate murders that occur in this country and that remain unpunished or misclassified before the law. Faced with this injustice and lack of recognition, the movement generates strategies to build history, memory and justice, being artivism one of them and the memorials dedicated to the victims of hate crimes, one of its main actions, which begin to populate the city and social networks, making visible the invisible.

    El sistema que se desarrolla en Chile, proviene de una tradición eurocéntrica, como resultado de un proceso colonialista, que se ha reproducido, a través de la historia y que se fortaleció con la dictadura militar, la que adhirió a los ideales del capitalismo y neoliberalismo, sistema que se ha mantenido hasta nuestros días mediante la acción de los diversos gobiernos de la Concertación. Esto ha traído como consecuencia profundas desigualdades e injusticias las que fueron generando un ambiente de descontento social, el que finalmente se expresó con fuerza en el denominado Estallido Social en Chile, que convocó a diversos movimientos e individualidades a expresar sus demandas en el espacio público y digital, creando un nuevo paisaje lingüístico y multimodal de resistencia, donde actúan artistas, activistas y colectivos que utilizan como una de sus herramientas de expresión, comunicación y educación el arte político o artivismo. Es ese contexto, de múltiples demandas sociales, llama la atención el actuar de la comunidad LGBTIQ+ y en específico el movimiento Lesbofeminista que irrumpe con un llamado de atención ante la violencia y los asesinatos de odio que ocurren en este país y que quedan impunes o mal tipificados ante la ley. Ante esa injusticia y falta de reconocimiento, el movimiento genera estrategias para construir historia, memoria y justicia, siendo el artivismo una de ellas y los memoriales dedicados a las víctimas de crímenes de odio, una de sus principales acciones, las que empiezan a poblar la ciudad y las redes sociales, haciendo visible lo invisibilizado.
