“Se eu não fizer o bem, o mal não faço!”: o sagrado afroindígena vivenciado pelas benzedeiras do quilombo do Cria-ú no Estado do Amapá

    The article aims to investigate how are the religious practices of the Afro-indigenous matrix in the Quilombo do Cria-ú, analyzing the religious worldviews and healing practices performed through prayers, blessings, and use of medicinal plants carried out by the current community benedictors. For data collection, we used participant observation resources, semi-structured interviews, and descriptive analysis of data found in the field. As a result of this study we have the (re) knowledge of the benedictors as legitimate heirs of the Afro-indigenous religious traditions of the Amazon because, through their traditional knowledge, these black and Quilombola women perpetuate the memories, relationships, interactions and social networks woven between Africans and indigenous peoples in the Amazon territory.

    O artigo tem por objetivo investigar como estão configuradas as práticas religiosas de matriz afroindígena no quilombo do Cria-ú, analisando as cosmovisões religiosas e as práticas de cura realizadas por meio das rezas, benzeções e uso de plantas medicinais realizadas pelas atuais benzedeiras da comunidade. Para coleta de dados, foram utilizados os recursos da observação participante, a entrevistas semiestruturadas e a análise descritiva dos dados encontrados em campo. Como resultado deste estudo, temos o (re)conhecimento das benzedeiras como legítimas herdeiras das tradições religiosas afroindígenas da Amazônia, pois, por meio dos seus saberes tradicionais, estas mulheres negras e quilombolas perpetuam as memórias, relações, interações e redes de sociabilidades tecidas entre africanos e indígenas no território amazônico.
