This article aims at discussing the novel O dom do crime, published in 2010, by Marco Lucchesi, focusing on the dialogue the narrative proposes to hold with Dom Casmurro (1900), by Machado de Assis. It is an intertext that allows a reflection on the creative process, since it brings up for discussion issues such as discursive self-referentiality and the intersection of discourses of different natures, posing unusual questions about novelistic compositions and, more specifically, about the configuration of the protagonists in these narratives, Helena and Capitu, respectively. This article also allows us to reflect on the repercussions of Machado de Assis’s work in contemporary times, showing the relevance of his text, which instigates vigorous revisiting possibilities such as Lucchesis’s, and thus fosters the debate about the feminine and its construction in the Brazilian novel.
Este artigo visa a discutir o romance O dom do crime, publicado em 2010, por Marco Lucchesi, tendo como foco o diálogo que a narrativa propõe fazer com Dom Casmurro (1900), de Machado de Assis. Trata-se de um intertexto que permite refletir sobre o processo criativo, uma vez que traz para discussão questões como a autorreferencialidade discursiva e o entrecruzamento de discursos de diferentes naturezas, lançando questões inusitadas sobre a composição romanesca e, mais especificamente, sobre a configuração das protagonistas dessas narrativas, Helena e Capitu, respectivamente.
