    Este artigo tem como objetivo revisar trabalhos que investigam a aquisição de categorias funcionais. Mais especificamente, revisamos os estudos Lessa (2015), Araujo (2018), Rodrigues e Martins (2019), Silva, Martins e Rodrigues (2020) e Silva (2022), que analisam a aquisição linguística das categorias funcionais de Tempo e/ou Aspecto no português brasileiro. Além disso, também buscamos enfatizar a contribuição desses trabalhos quanto ao entendimento da representação sintática de Tempo e Aspecto na gramática mental.

    This paper aims to review publications that investigate the acquisition of functional categories. More specifically, we review the studies of Lessa (2015), Araujo (2018), Rodrigues; Martins (2019), Silva; Martins; Rodrigues (2020) and Silva (2022), which analyzed the linguistic acquisition of the functional categories Tense and/or Aspect in Brazilian Portuguese. Moreover, we hope to emphasize the contribution of these works regarding the understanding of the syntactic representation of Tense and Aspect in mental grammar.
