La evolución de los sistemas de navegación y la interacción entre usuarios: Estudio de su desarrollo a través de Google Maps, SocialDrive y Waze

    Desde la creación de los sistemas de navegación, la movilidad y la seguridad vial han llegado a un nuevo paradigma, dónde la instantaneidad y la interacción entre los usua- rios es una realidad. Así, podemos observar cómo los sistemas de navegación han crecido con la sociedad, añadiendo a sus sistemas características de las redes sociales y llevando a la movilidad a un estado donde la realidad se crea a partir de la colabora- ción entre el sistema y los usuarios.

    Con este estudio, pretendemos realizar un análisis de los sistemas revisando algunos instrumentos que nos permitan entender su desarrollo hasta la actualidad. Por ello, tras una pequeña examinación sobre sus antecedentes, el estudio se centrará en:

    - Google Maps - SocialDrive - Waze La selección se ha realizado tras analizar, de manera cualitativa, su importancia en la evolución de la navegación, así como su impacto en el desarrollo de posteriores he- rramientas relacionadas con la navegación. Además, también se han tenido en cuenta aspectos cuantitativos, como la cantidad de usuarios.

    Este estudio permite observar cómo han evolucionado la movilidad gracias a la apa- rición de las comunidades de conductores. Unas comunidades que, gracias a la inte- racción por medio de aplicaciones de navegación, garantizan información importante para los conductores casi instantánea, que se refuerza gracias al papel de los pro- pios conductores como verificadores de lo que está sucediendo. Así, el análisis que se realiza en este estudio nos muestra cómo han evolucionado estas herramientas hasta llegar al contexto actual. La lectura de este artículo proporcionará al lector una perspectiva muy interesante sobre la evolución de las herramientas de navegación y como las comunidades de conductores están transformando la movilidad mediante el intercambio de información utilizando dichas herramientas.

    Since the creation of navigation systems, mobility and road safety have reached a new paradigm, where immediacy and interaction between users are a reality. Thus, we can observe how navigation systems have grown with society, adding features of social networks to their systems and taking mobility to a state where reality is created from the collaboration between the system and the users.

    With this study, we aim to conduct an analysis of the systems by reviewing some tools that allow us to understand their development up to the present. Therefore, after a brief analysis of their background, the study will focus on:

    - Google Maps - SocialDrive - Waze The selection was made after qualitatively analyzing their importance in the evolution of navigation, as well as their impact on the development of subsequent navigation- related tools. Additionally, quantitative aspects such as the number of users were also considered.

    This study allows us to observe how mobility has evolved thanks to the emergence of driver communities. Communities that, through interaction via navigation applica- tions, guarantee important information for drivers almost instantaneously, which is reinforced by the role of the drivers themselves as verifiers of what is happening. Thus, the analysis carried out in this study allows us to observe how these tools have evolved to the current context. Reading this article will provide the reader with a very interest- ing perspective on the evolution of navigation tools and how driver communities are transforming mobility through the exchange of information using these tools.
