    Este trabajo se enfoca en el análisis y estudio de las formas de oficializar la labor docente en los tiempos novohispanos, cuando era la iglesia la que todavía tenía a su cargo la dirección y administración de la educación, en especial la de las primeras letras. Para ello es necesario resaltar la importancia que tuvieron en la transformación de la labor magisterial y el movimiento de la ilustración en el paulatino proceso de secularización social que impulsaron los borbones. El texto resalta la tarea de la llamada “ilustración temprana” que manifestó su sabiduría con sus acciones reformadoras y modernizadoras de la sociedad de su época.

    This work focuses on the analysis and study of the ways of making teaching work official in New Spain times, when the Church was still in charge of the direction and administration of education, especially that of the first letters. To do this, it is necessary to highlight the importance they had in the transformation of teaching work and the Enlightenment movement in the gradual process of social secularization that the Bourbons promoted. The text highlights the task of the so-called “early Enlightenment” that manifested its wisdom with its reforming and modernizing actions of the society of its time.
