    El artículo examina la noción de relevancia didáctica a partir del caso del concepto de territorio que los nuevos programas de geografía franceses han puesto en relieve. Esta relevancia se estudia mediante la presentación de documentos oficiales con una crítica epistemológica y confrontando los problemas políticos que actualmente animan la sociedad francesa. Este estudio condujo a los autores a defender la idea de la pertinencia didáctica de un concepto que se define por el valor que aporta la relación geográfica en un contexto dado.

    The article suggests to think the notion of didactic relevance from the concept of territory in the new programs of school geography in France as a case study. The relevance of the contents of territory is analyzed by referring to an epistemological frame and to current political debates in the French society. The authors defend the idea that the didactic relevance of a contents defines itself by the geographical point of view which he allows to build. Yet, the concept of place, better than the concept of territory, allows to find a major didactic stake in the French context and to build a geographical point of view which takes into account the Other and the Elsewhere.

    L’article examine la notion de pertinence didactique à partir du cas du concept de territoire que les récents programmes de géographie français ont mis en avant. Cette pertinence est étudiée en soumettant les textes officiels à une critique épistémologique et en les confrontant aux questions politiques qui animent actuellement la société française. Cette étude conduit les auteurs à défendre l’idée que la pertinence didactique d’un concept se définit par la valeur qu’il procure au regard géographique dans un contexte donné.
