Fuerza buscar verdad y narrativa generativas, robustas, convergentes, con vocación de aportar a la reconciliación y a la convivencia Violencia simbólica Complejo de derecha Condiciones objetivas Justicia transicional Asesinatos-falsos positivos Verdad generativa The report of the Colombian Truth Commission, given its “telos in the broad sense,” should have offered a robust account of our history—one capable of fostering convergence among the vast majority of the nation, notwithstanding some interpretive variations. It did not. Attempting to galvanize the monumental error of armed struggle since 1964, under the influence of a certain "right-wing complex," impedes reconciliation, does not contribute to the moral climate of nonviolence and "thou shalt not kill," and does serious damage to peace. Colombia’s ailments—alleged objective conditions—do not justify the violence unleashed and sustained to this day by a conscious decision of revolutionary cadres. The assessment of the guerrilla movements demands nuanced distinctions: logical non-reciprocity, armed conflict, political status, idealistic status, political crime, belligerency, heinous crimes, degradation. The abominable “false positive killings” were not official state policy, although the "in use" Democratic Security Policy provided the framework that enabled them. Regarding the transformation of Colombia’s socio-economic reality, there is more convergence than the schismatic narrative acknowledges. Accounts of victims and specific populations, along with insights into symbolic violence, are unique and crucial contributions now at risk of being rendered inconsequential due to the potential marginalization of the IFCEV. These contributions must be read through the lens of an “insufficiently integrated nation,” marked by aporoagnosia, aetnosognosia, and apathoagnosia. The relationships between truth and transitional justice are evident and demand careful consideration. Colombia’s “transition” is not a “canonical” one We must strive to forge a generative, robust, and convergent truth and narrative—one that is genuinely oriented toward reconciliation and coexistence Symbolic violence Right-wing complex Objective conditions False positive killings Transitional justice Generative truth
