The increase of the atmospheric CO2 produces significant changes in the phytoplankton metabolism, altering the concentration of cellular metabolites and the efficiency in the use of resources, and modifying, as a consequence, growth and primary production. This study will show the effect of the increase of CO2 on the growth and the pigmentary response of different species of marine phytoplankton.
