  • Resumen
    • The central thesis of this doctoral research revolves around the idea that architecture and design do not create objects or spaces, but rather design corporeality. To demonstrate this argument, the case study method was used on a group of clothing objects called control garments, which have the quality of providing a contained body and are the best example to validate the characteristics with which Michael Foucault defines to devices. The purpose of this research is to show how in the city of Medellín, the fashion industry has turned this type of control garment into what allows the emergence of a prosaic aesthetic, which is consolidated as a condition of possibility of a subjectivity of the feminine, where the sexy and the narco-trafficking discourse define the idea of the body that circulates as exchange value.
