This philosophical study investigates, first, three characteristics of the problem of contemporary manufacturing, specifically, i. the environmental disturbance generated by the massification of anthropogenetic production; ii. the accelerated automation of the production system; and, iii. the automation of discerning and moral human activities by machines. Subsequently, such characteristics are studied based on the update of the concept of homo faber taken from the philosophies of Henri Bergson and Hannah Arendt to maintain that behind contemporary manufacturing there is, on the one hand, a spatial, and not vital, understanding of reality. human; and, on the other hand, a kind of desire to reify the world. Based on what has been said, a speculative political proposal is investigated to maintain that, although it is absurd to eliminate the human making quality, it is possible to propose a fair proportion between thinking and acting as a deontological proposal to address manufacturing human.
