Tesis doctoral que se enfoca en el estudio del discurso literario comprendido como expresión comunicativa, experiencial y medial de la memoria colectiva. Mediante categorías Bajtinianas (cronotopo novelesco y cronotopo histórico-literario) y siguiendo el método dialógico de Bajtín, se recorre de la mano de la historia social y política del país el canon literario colombiano, haciendo una lectura de las novelas de La Violencia y luego, las novelas de la memoria, es decir, aquellas que se centran en procesos de reconstrucción y revaloración desde la perspectiva del vencido, de la que nos habló Walter Benjamin. La tesis muestra cómo estas narrativas se mueven entre el cronotopo histórico-real y su alegoría, primero como novela de la Violencia y, luego, como novela de la memoria; para desplegar este mismo campo de análisis a la Literatura infantil y juvenil (LIJ), que da cuenta de esta misma relación entre cronotopo real y cronotopo novelesco, sólo que a diferencia del canon, la LIJ hace sus propios hallazgos y construye también sus propias posibilidades y límites.

Doctoral thesis focused on the study of literary discourse undestood as a communicative, experiencial and medial expression of collective memory. Through Bakhtinian categories (chronotope in the novel and historical-literary chronotope), following the dialogical method of Bakhtin and leaded by the social and political history of the country, it covers the colombian literary canon, reading the novels about The Violence and then, the novels of remembrance, refering to those centered in processes of reconstruction and revaluation from the perpective of the victims and the defeated that Walter Benjamin talked about. This thesis shows how these narratives move between the historical-real chronotope and the literary chronotope, first as novels about The Violence and then, as novels of remembrance, to unfold the same field of analysis over children’s and youth literature that gives an account of this same relationship between the chronotope in reality and the chronotope in the novel. In contrast with the literary canon, children’s and youth literature makes its own findings and constitutes its own possibilities and limits as well.
